Biography:
David Durkee has focused his practice during the past 13 years on protecting consumers from negligent healthcare professionals, negligent drivers, insurance companies that refuse to pay insureds their benefits, and HMOs that fail to approve necessary medical care. In addition to participating in achieving multi-million-dollar verdicts and settlements, Mr. Durkee’s work has set many significant precedents that have helped ensure the public will receive greater protection and grounds for recovery.

Mr. Durkee began his career in 1991 as a law clerk with the firm of Angones, Hunter, McClure, Lynch and Williams. After graduating law school in 1993, he accepted a position as an associate with that firm and later was named a partner. In 1994, he was honored for achieving the state’s highest score for the Florida Bar exam.

In 2004, Mr. Durkee joined Clay Roberts to establish Roberts & Durkee, P.A., focusing on civil litigation for clients seeking personal representation.

Mr. Durkee frequently provides lectures and seminars nationwide about insurance issues and other legal topics. In addition, journalists often turn to Mr. Durkee as a source for insights and commentary about legal matters.
